Cara has years of dental experience, having commenced her career as a dental nurse in 2001. Subsequently, she worked at Newcastle Dental Hospital from 2003, where she specialised in prosthodontics, periodontics, and oncology. After a period of career away from dentistry, Cara graduated from Teesside University in 2022. Following her graduation, she completed her foundation training year, during which she worked in community dental services in Sunderland and South Tyneside NHS. In 2022, she received training in inhalation sedation.
Cara is passionate about treating a diverse range of patients, including children, adults, and those with additional needs. She excels at tailoring her approach to meet the unique requirements of each individual and enjoys working with anxious patients. Cara joined the mydentist group in 2022 and has been part of the team here since 2024 after moving from Whitburn.
In her leisure time, Cara serves as the North East representative for the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy (BSDHT). She also prioritises spending time with her family and friends, engaging in running, and socialising.
