Dr Ainsley Smith graduated from the University of Manchester in 2004 and began his career in Sandbach before joining the Winsford practice in 2013.
Ainsley completed a PGCert in Restorative Dentistry with Tipton Training in 2013, followed by an MSc (Distinction) in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry from the University of Manchester in 2015. He is currently studying for a PGCert in Teaching and Learning in Clinical Practice at Edge Hill University. Alongside his clinical work, Ainsley is actively involved in dental education. He trains graduate Dental Therapists and Dentists, works as an Educational Supervisor for Dental Therapists, and is an Honorary Tutor at the University of Manchester Dental Hospital, where he supports the education of postgraduate dentists. As a restorative dentist, Ainsley focuses on stabilising oral health to ensure suitability for more complex restorative treatments. He has a particular interest in high-quality denture work and the management of advanced tooth wear cases, helping to improve his patients’ quality of life. In 2023, he began providing ClearCorrect aligners to patients. Outside of dentistry, Ainsley enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He is passionate about hill walking and climbing and, in his downtime, enjoys learning about space and physics.
