Dr Azhar Bakhshi graduated from Guy’s Hospital with a distinction in Oral Surgery in 1999 and has been placing and restoring dental implants since 2002. He is a qualified mentor in Implant Dentistry for the Association of Dental Implantology and is dedicated full‑time to referral‑based practice in oral surgery and implant dentistry. His work ranges from straightforward to highly complex cases, and he is also experienced in providing intravenous sedation to support anxious patients. Azhar has gained extensive experience in hospital‑based oral and maxillofacial surgery and completed his Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons of England during this time. In 2009, he achieved Membership in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh by examination, becoming one of the first six implant surgeons in the UK to attain this prestigious qualification. Azhar is also actively involved in teaching, regularly training local dentists in oral surgery, implant dentistry and sedation techniques. Outside of work, he is a keen fitness enthusiast and trains at the Royal Marines Boot Camp, frequently taking on some of the UK's toughest endurance challenges.
