Dr Sagar Karandikar is an experienced dentist with a special interest in endodontics, also known as root canal treatment. Passionate about helping patients retain their natural teeth, he takes a gentle, positive and reassuring approach to care. He believes in taking the time to explain treatment options clearly and helping patients feel comfortable throughout their dental journey. Sagar joined mydentist in 2006 and worked as Lead Clinician at Estover between 2014 and 2020. He became part of the Plympton team in 2021 and, in 2025, completed an MSc with Merit in Endodontics at the University of Plymouth. Committed to delivering high-quality care, Sagar uses advanced technology, including dental microscopes, loupes, and integrated apex locators, to support precise treatment. Alongside his clinical work, he also supervises final-year dental students at the University of Plymouth on Fridays. Sagar provides a range of treatments including general dentistry, endodontics, cosmetic fillings, dentures, teeth whitening and facial aesthetics. His calm and supportive manner helps patients feel informed and at ease, particularly those who may feel nervous about treatment. Outside of practice, Sagar enjoys travelling, wildlife photography and scuba diving.
