Dr Folashade Akinola qualified from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, in 2013. Following graduation, she completed a two‑year internship and her national service, then pursued further postgraduate training at the same institution, gaining extensive clinical experience through a four‑year rotation across all areas of dentistry. During this time, she developed a strong interest in aligning teeth and undergraduate teaching. In 2020, Dr Akinola emigrated to the UK and successfully completed the statutory overseas registration exam. She then began vocational training at mydentist Bradford. She later relocated to mydentist Peel Street, Barnsley, where she works as an Associate Dentist. Dr Akinola is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and is currently working towards membership exams. She is qualified in teeth-straightening treatments and provides ClearCorrect clear aligner treatment, teeth whitening and a range of other restorative procedures. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking and gardening.
