Dr. Merie is a skilled and dedicated dentist with extensive experience in both restorative and general dentistry. He earned his dental degree with honours from the University of Mosul, Iraq, in 2009, graduating second in his class. After completing his vocational training, he worked as a general dentist and clinical teacher at the same university.
In 2012, Dr. Merie moved to the UK to pursue further education, completing an MSc in Restorative Materials with distinction at the University of Sheffield. In 2016, he was awarded a competitive scholarship to undertake a PhD in Restorative Dentistry at Newcastle University. During his doctoral studies, he also achieved the prestigious LDS qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons and began teaching in the Restorative department at the University of Leeds.
Dr. Merie is proud to be part of the team at mydentist, where he provides a comprehensive range of private treatments and is available for appointments on Sundays. Known for his gentle manner and attention to detail, he goes above and beyond to ensure every patient feels at ease and receives the highest standard of care.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Merie enjoys travelling and exploring new cultures around the world.
