Joana Martel Implantologist

Joana Martel qualified as a dentist in 2005 in her home country of Portugal (LMD Portugal, GDC No: 189198), where she practised for six years before relocating to the UK in 2011. Since then, she has been part of the {my}dentist team, initially based at the Alton practice before moving to the Farnham location, where she now provides both NHS and private treatments.
Joana is passionate about delivering high-quality care and particularly values building trusting relationships with her patients. She finds it especially rewarding to support more nervous individuals and enjoys helping them feel comfortable and confident throughout their treatment. She has a keen interest in short-term orthodontics and is dedicated to continued professional development to ensure the best outcomes for her patients.
Outside of dentistry, Joana enjoys spending quality time with her son. She is also an enthusiastic home cook and baker, often trying out new recipes in the kitchen. Her warm, approachable nature makes her a highly respected and much-loved member of the Farnham team.

Juanisha Keren Jebakumar GDP

Juanisha qualified as a general dental practitioner from Sathyabama Dental College and Hospital, India in 2019. During her BDS course she has involved herself in organising and being a part of many dental camps for underprivileged kids and vulnerable adults. The camps were focussed on providing basic dental treatments and also in providing dental awareness. She also holds a master’s degree in research (MRES) in which she investigated the uses and cons of implementing teledentistry during Covid 19 pandemic. Currently, she is a registered dental hygienist under GDC (Reg no. 295723) and was practising from 2021. She enjoys educating people about the importance of oral hygiene, oral health and gives advice on the appropriate dental aids. She provides hygiene treatment under local anaesthesia, deep clean and airflow treatment.

Mei Huang Therapist

Mei graduated in Dentistry from Southern Medical University (China) in 2010. After a year working as a general dentist, Mei embarked on a postgraduate program in Periodontology and was awarded a Master of Science in Periodontology. In 2013, Mei relocated to the UK to start her research training which led to the award of a PhD in Dental biomaterials in 2017 from Queen Mary University of London. In 2018 Mei passed her statutory exam and start working as a dentist with special interest in Periodontics in private dental practice in London.In 2019 Mei was appointed as NIHR Clinical Lecturer/Specialty Registrar in Periodontics at Eastman Dental Institute UCL/ Eastman Dental Hospital UCLH where Mei is currently completing her speciality training in Periodontics. In Mei’s clinical practice, she focuses on treating patients who suffer from gum disease, peri-implant disease and patients who require gum contouring and gum grafting.In her spare time, Mei enjoys cooking, crafting, gardening, and spending time with her family.
